Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Okta Engineer to join an established Identity team for a 9-month contract. The successful candidate will focus on maintaining and enhancing enterprise identity services, integrating applications, and automating access management in a hybrid environment, collaborating closely with application owners, Cyber Security, and operational teams.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain Okta SSO integrations using SAML and OpenID Connect.
- Implement automated application provisioning and deprovisioning through SCIM.
- Support and improve joiner, mover, and leaver processes.
- Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, account, and access issues.
- Develop automation using PowerShell and Terraform.
- Build operational identity dashboards and analyze Okta and directory data.
- Maintain platform configurations, monitoring, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience administering and supporting Okta Workforce.
- Strong understanding of SSO, SAML, OIDC, MFA, and identity lifecycle management.
- Experience implementing SCIM provisioning.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Google Workspace.
- Practical PowerShell scripting and Terraform experience.
- Experience building dashboards using BigQuery, Looker Studio, or comparable data visualization tools.
- Proficiency with Google Sheets.
- Understanding of DNS, SSL certificates, and Okta security best practices.
