Overview
The role of Project Scheduler focuses on delivering comprehensive project scheduling services to support Project Managers across multiple engineering projects. The contractor will work directly with project teams to manage and report on project schedules, utilizing tools such as Oracle Primavera Cloud and Power BI. They will be responsible for ensuring effective planning and project control methods are applied, while also complying with contractual obligations within the defence sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine project schedules using OPC (Oracle Primavera Cloud).
- Manage and update daily project schedules, providing accurate reporting of progress.
- Identify variances and opportunities for improvement in project timelines.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports detailing project forecasts and performance status.
- Advise on planning techniques, including cost/schedule variance analysis and critical path analysis.
- Maintain project management artefacts, including risk and cost reports.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations throughout the project duration.
- Implement Agile methods and ceremonies alongside Waterfall project control systems.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a project scheduler or in a similar role.
- Proficient in using Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) and Primavera P6.
- Demonstrable experience in reporting with Power BI.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and Waterfall project controls.
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Experienced in effective communication with stakeholders and team members.
- Familiarity with project management concepts like earned value management (EVM) and risk analysis.
- APMP Certification or similar project management qualification is advantageous.
