Overview
As a Contract BI Analyst specializing in Power BI, you will play a crucial role in enhancing visibility for a warehouse management system at a high-volume logistics site. Collaborating closely with operational teams, you will be responsible for connecting Power BI to the database, creating essential daily reporting metrics that the leadership team currently lacks. This is a hands-on build role that calls for immediate availability and demands a quick turnaround to deliver actionable insights on the operations floor within weeks.
Responsibilities
- Connect Power BI to the warehouse management system (WMS) database.
- Develop daily dispatch and pick rate reporting in Power BI.
- Work directly with operational teams to gather requirements and insights.
- Create dashboards that translate operational questions into clear metrics.
- Own the reporting layer from inception, building it from a blank sheet.
- Ensure reports are user-friendly and accessible to on-floor staff.
Requirements
- Proficient in Power BI, including DAX and data modelling capabilities.
- Solid SQL skills for direct interaction with operational databases.
- Experience with warehouse, logistics, fulfilment, or distribution data.
- Knowledge of various WMS tools like Manhattan, Blue Yonder, or SAP EWM is advantageous.
- Ability to independently develop dashboards without a business analyst's input.
- Familiarity with reporting on dispatch, pick rates, or inventory accuracy is a plus.
