Overview
The Principal Electrical Engineer will lead the execution of engineering projects within a dynamic and inclusive working environment, focusing on delivering high-quality results in the energy sector. The engineer will work closely with project teams, clients, and vendors to ensure compliance with safety standards, project schedules, and budgets while championing a culture of diversity and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of project work in line with design instructions and safety procedures.
- Produce key deliverables such as specifications, load lists, datasheets, and single line diagrams.
- Conduct Electrical System studies using ETAP.
- Manage electrical engineering services and participate in project meetings.
- Ensure project scope clarity and compliance with change management processes.
- Provide technical advice during procurement and oversee requisitions and evaluations.
- Review vendor designs for compliance with technical specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Significant experience in electrical engineering within the energy sector.
- Proficient in electrical design software, including ETAP.
- Strong knowledge of national and international electrical codes and standards.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Experience with procurement processes and technical evaluations.
