Overview
As a Principal Software Engineer specializing in Testing Architecture and Engineering Quality, you will be instrumental in defining and building the future testing architecture for a global markets front office trading platform at a leading investment bank. Working within a high-technical team, you will design reusable frameworks, shared libraries, and AI-assisted developer tooling that enhance software quality across the organization, taking a hands-on approach to influence the long-term technical direction of the platform.
Responsibilities
- Define the testing and engineering quality architecture across a strategic Front Office trading platform.
- Design and build reusable frameworks, libraries, and shared engineering tooling.
- Develop framework-level code across .NET/C#, Python, and TypeScript.
- Design engineering patterns that operate consistently across multiple runtimes.
- Build AI-powered tooling to improve developer productivity and automate engineering quality.
- Design contract testing and containerized testing solutions for distributed services.
- Integrate tooling into an NX Monorepo and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and architects to enhance engineering quality across Global Markets.
Requirements
- Outstanding software engineering ability with experience in complex backend or distributed systems.
- Expert-level commercial experience with C# (.NET) and/or Python.
- Experience designing frameworks, shared libraries, or developer tooling.
- Strong software architecture skills with an ability to design scalable and maintainable engineering solutions.
- A polyglot mindset with experience across multiple technology stacks.
- Passion for improving engineering quality through architecture, automation, and developer tooling.
- Experience integrating tooling into CI/CD pipelines and large shared codebases.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior technical stakeholders.
