Overview
The Principal Workday Financials Data Consultant will play a crucial role in a significant Workday financial transformation project, working closely with client and delivery teams throughout the implementation lifecycle. This position requires expertise in financial data migration, conversion, and reconciliation, with a focus on ensuring accurate and efficient data handling from legacy systems to Workday. The consultant will lead data migration efforts, engage with stakeholders, and implement data validation processes to support successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead Workday Financials data migration and conversion activities across complex implementations.
- Manage the extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, and reconciliation of financial data from legacy platforms into Workday.
- Map source data into Workday conversion templates across General Ledger, financial transactions, and reporting structures.
- Utilize Workday migration and loading tools, including iLoad, EIB, Object Transporter, and Advanced Load.
- Design data validation, reconciliation, and monitoring processes to ensure accuracy and auditability.
- Develop ETL and transformation logic to cleanse, normalize, and optimize complex financial datasets.
- Support tenant-to-tenant migrations and configuration movement.
- Work directly with client stakeholders to identify data risks, resolve issues, and ensure successful delivery.
Requirements
- Active SC Clearance.
- Workday Financials Certification.
- Strong Workday Financials implementation experience.
- Proven expertise in financial data migration, conversion, and reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of General Ledger, transactions, and financial reporting structures.
- Experience with Workday data loading and migration tools.
- Strong Excel and data manipulation skills.
- Excellent client-facing consulting and stakeholder management experience.
