Overview
As a Product Owner for a Commodities trading firm specializing in Freight, LNG, and Logistics, you will manage a set of digital products utilized by the trading team and, occasionally, their clients. Collaborating with internal traders and external providers, you will shape product requirements and ensure effective delivery by working closely with the engineering team. This role focuses on enhancing business operations by owning the delivery roadmap and maintaining the product metrics to support the trading activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day product management and ensure alignment with trader needs.
- Collaborate with traders and external providers to gather and shape product requirements.
- Own the delivery roadmap and manage the backlog for engineering refinement.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to prioritize product development discussions.
- Monitor product performance by tracking and reviewing relevant metrics.
- Act as the main point of contact for internal trading teams and handle external client requests for product adjustments.
Requirements
- Experience as a Product Owner in a trading or commodities context.
- Strong knowledge of physical trading, freight, LNG, and logistics.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams.
- Demonstrated skills in writing user stories and managing product backlogs.
- Experience with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Ability to monitor product metrics and make data-driven decisions.
