Overview
As a Product Owner in a renowned Commodities trading firm, you will play a pivotal role in managing digital products that facilitate the trading team's operations in Freight, LNG, and Logistics. Collaborating closely with internal traders and external partners, you will ensure that product development aligns with business needs and enhances operational efficiency. This role requires you to take charge of the delivery roadmap, define product requirements, and oversee continuous improvement through effective stakeholder engagement and data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day product operations for digital tools used by the trading team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, shape, and refine product requirements.
- Develop and maintain the product delivery roadmap to ensure timely outputs.
- Facilitate prioritisation discussions and manage the product backlog.
- Monitor product performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.
- Act as the primary contact for internal traders and external client requests regarding product features and customisations.
- Run story refinement sessions with the engineering team to drive development efficiency.
- Ensure alignment of product offerings with market demands and trading strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a trading or financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of physical trading, particularly in Freight, LNG, and Logistics.
- Experience working with digital product management and development teams.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools for product roadmapping.
- Ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders, including traders and external clients.
- Experience in monitoring KPIs and utilizing data for decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying complex concepts clearly.
- Relevant certifications in product management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) are a plus.
