Overview
The Project Engineer will work on a contract basis for a 12-month period, supporting the Manufacturing Manager by aligning on key objectives related to EHS, Quality, Cost, and Delivery. This role includes participating in operational activities, problem-solving exercises, and ensuring that manufacturing documentation meets required standards. The Project Engineer will engage with various teams to implement efficient manufacturing solutions and participate in audits to address any identified gaps.
Responsibilities
- Support the Manufacturing Manager in achieving agreed objectives regarding EHS, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
- Participate in Daily Operations meetings and manage problems assigned to the Manufacturing Engineering function.
- Contribute to the EHS Model by conducting Job Safety Observations and providing technical solutions to EHS issues.
- Create and control manufacturing documentation including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure the availability and effectiveness of tooling necessary for a safe and efficient manufacturing process.
- Implement and manage project solutions through collaboration with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Participate in internal and external audits and work on continuous improvement based on audit findings.
Requirements
- Previous experience in sectors such as Automotive, Aerospace & Defence, Power Generation, Medical, Nuclear, or Food and Drink.
- Key skills in 5 Axis machining, press tool design, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Experience with design software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX.
