Overview
We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer with a focus on Automation and API Testing to join a dynamic remote team. This role involves designing and maintaining robust automation frameworks to enhance software quality and support reliable delivery processes. As a pivotal member of the QA team, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to ensure the stability and security of software releases.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve automation strategies for API, UI, contract, and component testing.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks and scripts integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Investigate flaky tests and identify root causes to enhance test stability.
- Troubleshoot complex automation failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide detailed reports that highlight significant risks to inform decision-making.
- Review automation code and mentor junior engineers to uphold coding standards.
- Create reusable components and libraries to improve automation efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure trustworthy software releases.
Requirements
- Proven experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks with a strong emphasis on API testing.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline integration for automated tests.
- Solid understanding of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to critically review automation code and promote best practices.
- Familiarity with compliance and security standards in healthcare data systems is a plus.
