Overview
We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer specializing in Automation to enhance the quality assurance processes of our client's engineering teams in a remote capacity. The contractor will define and innovate the automation strategies for various testing layers, ensuring a high standard of quality while maintaining efficient release cycles. This role involves collaboration across development, product management, and DevOps teams to foster a quality-centric culture within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the automation approach for your product area, covering API, UI, and beyond.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and scripts.
- Drive continuous improvements to make testing frameworks cleaner and faster.
- Integrate automation into continuous delivery pipelines for stable test runs.
- Investigate and remedy flaky tests to enhance reliability standards.
- Provide insightful reporting to QA leadership regarding potential risks.
- Mentor and guide QA/SDET engineers through code reviews and learning sessions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security requirements applicable to healthcare data systems.
Requirements
- Strong experience in software testing with a proven background in automation.
- Expertise in designing and maintaining automation frameworks and test scripts.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Proficient in programming languages like Java and Python.
- Solid understanding of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex automation failures effectively.
- Experience in establishing automation standards and best practices within QA teams.
