Overview
We are seeking an experienced Azure AI Foundry Consultant to support a professional services organization in developing their first AI-first application. The consultant will play a pivotal role in establishing Azure AI capabilities, guiding the delivery of the initial application, and facilitating knowledge transfer to the existing engineering team. This role is fully remote and offers a contract engagement initially lasting 6-12 months, with potential for extension based on project needs.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of the first AI-first application using Azure AI Foundry.
- Establish Azure AI Foundry environments and capabilities from scratch.
- Configure and deploy LLMs/models within the Azure ecosystem.
- Provide hands-on expertise in AI Agents and agentic AI solutions.
- Ensure understanding of Azure AI architecture, security, governance, and best practices.
- Connect proprietary business data to LLMs, including model customization and fine-tuning.
- Train, mentor, and upskill the existing engineering team in Azure AI practices.
- Act as a trusted advisor while maintaining a hands-on technical role.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Azure AI and Microsoft Azure AI Foundry.
- Proven experience in establishing Azure AI Foundry environments in enterprise settings.
- Experience configuring and deploying LLMs/models on Azure.
- Hands-on knowledge of AI Agents and agentic AI solutions.
- Deep understanding of Azure AI architecture, security, and governance.
- Experience connecting proprietary data to LLMs, including RAG and grounding techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor engineering teams.
