Overview
As a Safety Assurance Engineer, you will provide essential support in the delivery of safety-critical engineering projects within a highly regulated environment. Your role involves ensuring that systems and services maintain safety, resilience, and compliance throughout their lifecycle, collaborating with various teams including Engineering, Cyber Security, and Operations. This position is ideal for professionals looking to engage in long-term projects that are vital to national infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain Safety & Assurance documentation.
- Support hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation activities.
- Facilitate and contribute to safety workshops.
- Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Cyber Security, and Assurance teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety management processes and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- HNC or equivalent qualification in Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
- Experience within safety-critical, regulated, or engineering environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience with safety assurance, risk management, or governance activities is advantageous.
