Overview
The Sandbox Platform Engineer will be responsible for the design, delivery, and operationalization of the TMHCC International Sandbox Platform, focusing on creating a secure and automated environment for development, testing, and technology evaluation. This role will involve collaborating with multiple teams to implement technical deliverables according to a defined strategy, ensuring governance and cost management while maintaining a high level of security.
Responsibilities
- Implement the Sandbox Platform according to the approved strategy and roadmap.
- Translate target state into detailed technical designs and deployable components.
- Build foundational Azure infrastructure for sandbox workloads.
- Develop reusable Terraform modules and Ansible Playbooks for automation.
- Integrate Microsoft Entra ID and manage role-based access controls.
- Configure network isolation and connectivity for sandbox environments.
- Establish automated lifecycle and cost controls for temporary resources.
- Produce operational documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience in platform engineering and automation.
- Strong expertise in Azure services and infrastructure.
- Ability to develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
- Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.
- Experience with identity management and role-based access controls.
- Understanding of network configuration and isolation principles.
- Knowledge of cloud cost management and budget control strategies.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
