Overview
This role seeks a Senior C# Engineer with expertise in .NET 8/9 and AWS technologies to lead the development of a greenfield SaaS platform. As a key technical contributor, you will work closely with the Director of Engineering to design and implement high-performance distributed systems while adopting modern AI-assisted development practices. The position emphasizes strong backend engineering and collaboration to ensure the delivery of resilient and efficient software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and development of complex, high-performance distributed services in C#/.NET 8/9 on AWS Lambda.
- Design and implement resilient event-driven systems using AWS messaging services such as SQS.
- Own features from concept through delivery, including scoping, trade-offs, and sequencing.
- Create clean, well-documented APIs that simplify integration for other engineers.
- Promote a culture of high-quality engineering through rigorous testing, peer reviews, and CI/CD best practices.
- Develop expertise with Claude Code, applying AI-assisted patterns and techniques for improved productivity.
Requirements
- Proven senior/staff-level experience in backend development with C# and .NET 8/9.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS serverless architecture, particularly Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, and related services.
- Experience designing event-driven systems with a focus on operational resilience and best practices.
- Strong API design skills, emphasizing usability and developer experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in shaping product requirements and delivering solutions.
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like CDK/Terraform, and Git-based development practices.
