Overview
The ERP & Hosting Migration Programme Manager will spearhead a strategic initiative focused on the migration of the Sage X3 ERP platform and related business systems to a new third-party managed hosting provider. Collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders, the successful candidate will oversee the procurement process, lead supplier engagements, and ensure the implementation of a secure and resilient hosting environment while aligning all activities with the organization’s business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the hosting provider selection process from initial market engagement through to contract award.
- Develop and manage integrated project plans covering all workstreams.
- Coordinate technical, operational, security, and commercial assessments with stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain overall programme governance and manage programme risks.
- Produce regular status reporting for senior leadership and drive decision-making.
- Coordinate migration activities for various applications and platforms.
- Manage testing strategy and ensure business stakeholders are engaged throughout testing phases.
- Oversee transition into business-as-usual service management post-migration.
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivering infrastructure hosting or datacentre migration projects.
- Strong supplier management and third-party governance experience.
- Significant experience in technology procurement and supplier selection.
- Proficiency in negotiating managed service contracts and commercial agreements.
- Experience with Windows Server and Microsoft-based infrastructure programmes.
- Excellent risk, dependency, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong executive communication and reporting capability.
- Experience with ERP migration programmes or Sage X3 environments is a plus.
