Overview
As a Senior C# Engineer, you will play a crucial role in architecting and delivering a greenfield B2B SaaS platform, focusing on backend engineering within an event-driven AWS serverless environment. Collaborating closely with the Director of Engineering and IAM Technical Lead, you will apply your expertise in C#, .NET, and various AWS services to design and implement secure and scalable API architectures. This position emphasizes hands-on engagement with both backend systems and modern development workflows, contributing to the establishment of high-performance services.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build high-performance event-driven services using C#/.NET on AWS Lambda.
- Design secure and scalable API architectures utilizing API Gateway, IAM, and Cognito.
- Deliver resilient event-driven systems through SQS and AWS messaging services.
- Manage feature development from concept through delivery, focusing on product thinking and trade-offs.
- Champion engineering excellence through testing discipline, peer reviews, and observability practices.
- Utilize Claude Code for enhanced development workflows and automated context management.
Requirements
- Extensive backend expertise in C# and .NET, capable of leading distributed REST microservices.
- Advanced knowledge of AWS serverless technologies, including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, and SNS.
- Strong capabilities in API engineering, encompassing versioning, documentation, and secure design principles.
- Familiarity with AWS IAM and permission modeling, and experience in identity engineering with AWS Cognito.
- Proficient with data management in Aurora MySQL and DynamoDB, including schema design and query optimization.
- Experience in event-driven architectures and their operational resilience.
