Overview
The Senior Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in a 6-month project with a global luxury travel and hospitality brand. This hands-on position focuses on designing and building scalable data infrastructure and pipelines while collaborating closely with teams to develop robust data solutions. The engineer will work primarily with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery, leveraging their technical expertise to drive projects forward and innovate within the data architecture.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Develop robust data solutions using Python and SQL.
- Integrate data from APIs and multiple external sources.
- Design data models and contribute to the overall data architecture.
- Work with marketing and customer data, including GA4, Google Ads, and Meta.
- Build reliable, scalable foundations for reporting and analytics.
- Take ownership of technical decisions and drive projects forward.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Excellent skills in Python and SQL.
- Proven experience designing and building data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data architecture and data modelling.
- Experience working with APIs and integrating multiple data sources.
- Hands-on, problem-solving approach with a builder's mindset.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership in a project environment.
- Experience with marketing, customer, or performance data is beneficial but not essential.
