Overview
We are seeking a skilled SC Cleared VMware Engineer to contribute to a significant defence programme. The successful candidate will join a technical infrastructure team focused on the design, build, configuration, and support of secure VMware environments, leveraging their expertise and experience within a government or defence context.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and implementation of secure VMware infrastructures.
- Configure and maintain VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualisation, networking, and storage.
- Utilize automation or scripting tools to enhance infrastructure efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal performance of VMware environments.
- Provide ongoing support for secure VMware configurations.
- Document technical processes and systems effectively.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and supporting enterprise VMware environments.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills in virtualisation and related technologies.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation or scripting languages such as PowerCLI, PowerShell, Ansible, or Python.
- Previous experience in secure government or defence environments is preferred.
- Active SC Clearance is mandatory.
