Overview
We are seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to join our Data, AI & Automation team on a contract basis. In this senior agile delivery leadership role, you will oversee the delivery of data, analytics, and automation products across a significant business-wide transformation programme. You will work closely with multiple business directorates and lead a team of Scrum Masters and Delivery Analysts to ensure effective project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee cross-functional delivery of agile data, analytics, and automation products.
- Manage and mentor a team of 3-5 Scrum Masters/Delivery Analysts.
- Own and manage multi-million-pound delivery budgets, focusing on forecasting and cost optimisation.
- Establish departmental objectives and performance metrics aligned with the digital/data strategy.
- Drive the transition to persistent product teams and enhance delivery methodologies.
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels, including board-level, to advocate for data and automation initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with the ability to coach and upskill teams.
- Track record of managing and mentoring multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement, with experience in matrixed organizations.
- Strong financial management abilities, including budget and vendor management.
- Agile/Scrum certification is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with a Microsoft tech stack, particularly Azure and Databricks, would be a plus.
- Experience in regulated industries and familiarity with data governance, such as GDPR.
