Overview
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer Contractor for a 12-month engagement, specializing in providing engineering solutions within the energy sector. The contractor will be responsible for delivering technical expertise in power management systems and electrical equipment, collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance and safety. This role will involve site surveys, project support, and the production of essential documentation for both onshore and offshore assets.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering input to project work scopes and estimates.
- Participate in progress and planning meetings, providing technical expertise.
- Specify modifications to existing equipment and evaluate new purchases.
- Conduct site surveys on offshore or onshore assets as necessary.
- Produce calculations and participate in design reviews.
- Check and approve discipline documents, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare and issue technical documentation deliverables, including various specifications and reports.
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety, environmental, and quality policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of HV/LV switchgear and electrical drives.
- Experience with power generation, distribution, and electrical protection systems.
- Ability to conduct site surveys and generate necessary engineering calculations.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and engineering procedures.
- Experience in creating and reviewing engineering documents and specifications.
- Proficiency with software tools related to electrical engineering.
