Overview
The Senior Microsoft Consultant will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture for a transitioning client within a global cloud and managed services provider. This fully remote position requires a blend of technical expertise and hands-on engagement, focusing on Microsoft 365 and Azure integration, identity management, and advising on future directions within the client's infrastructure. The consultant will collaborate with an existing team during a critical onboarding phase, leveraging their experience to map applications and provide strategic insights into the managed services environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design for Microsoft cloud solutions and identity management.
- Map business applications and their interdependencies in preparation for migration.
- Provide senior technical guidance and advisory on the client's Microsoft estate.
- Manage the onboarding of Microsoft 365 and Azure into the managed service.
- Ensure alignment with identity principles, including authentication and certificate management.
- Collaborate closely with the existing technical team during implementation phases.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, including landing zones and networking.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and application interdependencies.
- Strong background in identity management principles and tools such as Entra ID and Active Directory.
- Proven experience in managing complex Microsoft migrations from start to finish.
- Experience working in a managed service provider (MSP) or consultancy environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence at a senior technical level.
