Overview
The Senior Network Engineer will play a critical role in enhancing network security infrastructure within the Defence industry. Working alongside IT professionals, the contractor will leverage their expertise in network security and administration to ensure seamless connectivity and robust defense measures across multiple sites. This position requires a proactive and collaborative approach, fostering team development while directly addressing complex network challenges.
Responsibilities
- Manage and administer Cato SD WAN traffic and security protocols.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network performance and connectivity issues.
- Configure enterprise network infrastructure and maintain firewall rules.
- Collaborate with technical teams to enhance network security measures.
- Provide support for cloud connectivity and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
- Educate and mentor team members on network best practices.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Cato or comparable SD WAN platforms such as Zscaler or Netskope.
- Solid understanding of routing, traffic policies, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Practical experience with enterprise network infrastructure management across multiple locations.
- Proven background in network security, including firewall configuration.
- Excellent documentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with Cisco Meraki or similar configurations is a plus.
