Overview
We are seeking a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer for a 12-month freelance contract focused on an international project. The contractor will work on designing, configuring, and supporting enterprise network infrastructures. They will collaborate closely with teams to manage complex LAN/WAN environments and will be expected to work 2–3 days onsite in Glasgow each week.
Responsibilities
- Design and configure enterprise network infrastructure.
- Manage and troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN environments.
- Work with Cisco networking technologies, including routing and switching.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
- Utilize TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF protocols.
- Support highly available and business-critical network environments.
- Contribute to network infrastructure design and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience as a Network Infrastructure Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies.
- Excellent knowledge of LAN/WAN, routing, and switching.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF protocols.
- Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise networks.
- Familiarity with high-availability environments.
- Ability to work onsite in Glasgow 2–3 days per week.
