Overview
The DevOps Engineer will be engaged as a contractor within a consulting team, focusing on a significant project aimed at enhancing Cloud, Container, and Software engineering practices. Collaborating with cross-functional teams of DevOps Engineers, Architects, and Developers, the contractor will leverage their development background to implement scalable solutions for a key client, primarily utilizing AWS and containerization technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement scalable DevOps practices using AWS services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline containerization and orchestration efforts.
- Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions.
- Automate CI/CD pipelines to enhance deployment efficiency.
- Code in Object-Oriented programming languages, particularly Python or Go.
- Ensure compliance with standards in finance or regulated environments.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in engineering processes.
Requirements
- Strong experience with AWS and cloud services.
- Proficient in containerization and orchestration, particularly with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Demonstrated background in software engineering with proficiency in Python, Go, or Java.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automation tools.
- Previous work experience in finance or regulated industries is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid working environment.
