Overview
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with expertise in Azure to join our team for a 12-month contract, focusing on delivering innovative software solutions. The successful candidate will mentor and inspire the development team while collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes. This role involves shaping the technology roadmap and adopting new technologies that drive business value.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and guide the development team towards continuous improvement.
- Challenge business requirements to ensure high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and deliver software iteratively.
- Utilize modern build tools such as Gradle and Maven in development workflows.
- Design and implement event-driven and asynchronous systems using RabbitMQ and Kafka.
- Ensure code quality through testing methodologies including TDD and BDD.
- Deploy and manage cloud-based technologies using Azure and related tools.
- Work in a DevOps environment to enhance CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring practices.
Requirements
- Expert understanding of Java, with knowledge of JVM languages like Kotlin as a plus.
- Experience with modern web frameworks such as Spring or JavaEE.
- Proficient in using GIT and version control systems.
- Strong background in implementing cloud technologies using tools like Ansible or Terraform.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, including Postgres, DynamoDB, and MongoDB.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Mockito, JUnit, and Cucumber.
- Knowledge of agile frameworks and methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Comfortable working in a DevOps environment with CI/CD practices.
