Overview
The role of Senior Java Developer (Azure) presents an exciting opportunity for experienced developers to actively engage in delivering innovative software solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with a collaborative team to define and implement tech-driven strategies, mentoring peers while influencing the technical roadmap and ensuring quality outcomes. This position is a 12-month contract requiring a commitment to on-site work three days a week, with a focus on harnessing advanced technologies to enhance online services.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of software solutions using Java and Azure technologies.
- Mentor and inspire junior developers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Challenge business requirements to deliver optimal solutions that align with technical innovations.
- Design and implement asynchronous systems with tools like RabbitMQ and Kafka.
- Ensure high-quality code through testing methodologies such as TDD and BDD.
- Deploy and manage cloud-based technologies using Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Facilitate the adoption of Agile methodologies, including SCRUM and Kanban, within the team.
- Support and implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD and automated testing.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of Java and familiarity with other JVM languages, such as Kotlin.
- Proficient with modern build tools like Gradle and Maven.
- Experience designing event-driven architectures using technologies such as RabbitMQ and Kafka.
- Strong familiarity with modern web frameworks including Spring or JavaEE.
- Proficient in using GIT and other version control systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and containerization using Docker.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and practices, including SCRUM and Kanban.
- Ability to work with relational and non-relational data stores, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
