Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to contribute to a cutting-edge fintech platform focused on algorithmic trading. This contract role entails developing low-latency, high-throughput microservices and involves close collaboration with product and risk teams to ensure robust architectural solutions. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing flexibility while facilitating some in-office collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and optimize scalable back-end services using Java 21+ and Spring Boot.
- Partner with product and risk teams to deliver resilient event-driven architectures.
- Drive engineering best practices, including TDD, automated CI/CD pipelines, and rigorous code reviews.
- Refactor legacy components to improve latency and system throughput.
Requirements
- 7+ years of deep expertise in core Java, including features from Java 17 and 21, memory management, multithreading, and concurrency.
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate/JPA frameworks.
- Proven track record with microservices and event-driven design, including Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Strong relational database knowledge with PostgreSQL and experience with Redis or Hazelcast.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (EKS, Lambda, S3), Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
