Overview
This role as a Contract Data Engineer / BI Consultant involves supporting dashboard development and data infrastructure projects within a media agency. The contractor will collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality reporting solutions and will focus on building and enhancing data visualization tools using Google Cloud Platform and Looker. This short-term contract position aims to fill the gap until a permanent hire joins in December.
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance dashboards and data visualization solutions for internal and client reporting.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Create and optimize Looker dashboards and reporting environments.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and adherence to data governance best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver reporting solutions quickly.
- Support the team with ongoing data engineering and business intelligence requirements.
Requirements
- Strong experience building dashboards and delivering data visualization solutions within a media agency environment.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Advanced Looker experience, including dashboard development and reporting.
- Good understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and quickly add value in a fast-paced team.
- Availability for an immediate or short-notice start.
