Overview
The Enterprise Architect will be contracted for 90 days to analyze and streamline a complex data environment for an international manufacturing and distribution business. This role involves establishing the current operational environment, identifying data ownership, and defining a simplified target architecture. The Enterprise Architect will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders, creating a clear blueprint for future development and ensuring an effective integration framework for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the current data environment to establish operational efficiencies.
- Identify and define data ownership within the architecture.
- Develop a simplified target architecture with systems of record and controlled integration layers.
- Create a verified view of current systems, integrations, and data flows.
- Produce a strategic roadmap outlining necessary changes and implementation steps.
- Engage with senior stakeholders and suppliers to gather requirements and insights.
- Facilitate data discovery, systems mapping, and analysis activities.
- Ensure alignment of the architecture with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in data architecture within manufacturing or distribution sectors.
- Proficiency with manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and shop floor information systems.
- Strong skills in data discovery, systems mapping, and data analysis.
- Expertise in master data management and data governance practices.
- Experience with integration architecture, APIs, and complex data flows.
- Familiarity with SAP or Salesforce; experience with SAP Business One is ideal.
- Competence in Microsoft Power BI for data visualization.
- Knowledge of AWS and a mix of cloud, on-premise, and managed systems is advantageous.
