Oracle Developer

Overview

This Oracle Developer position offers a temporary contract of 2-3 months, allowing for either part-time or full-time engagement based on the candidate's availability. The role entails developing, configuring, and enhancing Oracle Service Cloud solutions to support customer service operations, while collaborating closely with business stakeholders to align technical solutions with their requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and administer Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) applications to meet business needs.
  • Design, create, and maintain custom objects, fields, tables, and relationships to support business processes.
  • Develop and configure business rules, workflows, and automation processes to streamline customer service operations.
  • Configure workspaces, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Support data management activities, including data imports, exports, and integrity checks to ensure high-quality data standards.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform, configuration, and data issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Support integrations between Oracle Service Cloud and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
  • Certification in Oracle Service Cloud is highly desirable.
  • Experience in configuring Oracle Service Cloud, developing business processes, and supporting customer service operations.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database design is beneficial.
  • Additional certifications related to Oracle Digital Assistant or Oracle Fusion applications are a plus.
  • Ability to obtain DBS clearance if necessary.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle best practices and security standards.
  • Experience with system testing and user acceptance testing.
