Overview
The Power BI Data Analyst will join a prominent UK retail business on a contract basis, collaborating closely with the Financial Operations teams. This role focuses on operational analytics projects to enhance business performance, identify trends, and deliver insights that facilitate commercial decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Analyse operational and financial operations data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
- Investigate stock, warehousing, delivery, partnership, and KPI performance.
- Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Support planned and ad hoc business investigations, including stock take activities.
- Respond to stakeholder requests and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Translate business requirements into meaningful analytical outputs.
Requirements
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to analyse and interrogate complex datasets.
- Strong Power BI experience, including reporting and dashboard development.
- Proven experience working as a Data Analyst within a commercial or operational environment.
- Experience investigating operational performance and business issues through data.
- Knowledge of warehousing, stock, inventory, or supply chain analytics.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholder requests and changing priorities.
- Retail industry experience is highly desirable.
- Python experience would be beneficial.
