Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to join our Platform team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our backend systems and will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address complex challenges in the railway data solutions domain. This position combines deep technical skills with innovative approaches to integrate modern technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, reliable APIs and data integrations using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Leverage AWS cloud-native architectures to build serverless and event-driven systems.
- Manage and deploy cloud environments following Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Conduct data modelling and oversee large-scale data processing operations.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Utilize AI coding tools effectively within software workflows.
- Diagnose and resolve complex application and infrastructure issues independently.
- Mentor team members and contribute to technical standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in backend development with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Strong understanding of AWS cloud-native architectures and services.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code methodologies for cloud environment management.
- Proficient in relational databases and large-scale data solutions.
- Familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD processes.
- Knowledge of AI tools such as Claude Code or OpenAI Codex.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Background in C# and .NET is a plus, along with experience in containerization or frontend technologies.
