Overview
The Interim Product Director will play a crucial role in managing the business-as-usual operations of a strategic platform during an ongoing transition phase. Collaborating closely with the leadership team, the contractor will focus on delivering key milestones and refining operational practices to ensure effective governance and communication. This position requires a pragmatic leader capable of establishing best practices within an evolving corporate structure, while also documenting existing successful methods of operation.
Responsibilities
- Manage the business-as-usual product delivery on the platform.
- Lead knowledge transfer from key stakeholders to the product team.
- Assess and document current product decision-making and prioritisation processes.
- Design and implement a transparent roadmap and prioritisation process.
- Establish governance forums to clarify decision-making responsibilities.
- Set and maintain a regular reporting cadence for executives and stakeholders.
- Prepare for and facilitate monthly executive and senior leadership team meetings.
- Develop change and communication plans to secure stakeholder buy-in.
Requirements
- Proven senior product leadership experience, ideally in transformation roles.
- Track record of implementing product best practices in large corporate or enterprise settings.
- Experience engaging with C-level stakeholders in regulated environments.
- Strong storytelling and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional documentation and communication capabilities.
- Experience with high-volume or large-scale consumer platforms.
