Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong mechanical background to oversee critical mechanical works on a fast-paced data centre construction project. The role focuses on managing the installation of mechanical systems, ensuring project activities meet quality standards and health and safety regulations. The successful candidate will collaborate with subcontractors and the wider project team to ensure smooth operations from installation through to commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Oversee mechanical installation activities across the project.
- Manage and coordinate chiller installation works.
- Supervise system flushing and pressure testing activities.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
- Review RAMS, permits and site documentation.
- Coordinate subcontractors and maintain strong site standards.
- Monitor compliance with CDM Regulations and project-specific HSE requirements.
- Report progress and site performance to the wider project team.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Site Manager on construction or engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical building services installations.
- Experience with chilled water systems, HVAC, flushing, pressure testing or commissioning activities.
- SMSTS and CSCS qualifications.
- Excellent health & safety awareness and site leadership skills.
- SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
