Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor specializing in ground-mounted Solar PV for a minimum 12-month contract position. This role involves overseeing subcontractors, managing daily site activities, and ensuring the successful and safe delivery of a large-scale Solar PV project. The supervisor will collaborate closely with subcontractors and the project manager, emphasizing safety, quality standards, and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise subcontractors and daily site activities.
- Oversee ground-mounted Solar PV installation works.
- Ensure compliance with HSQE and CDM requirements.
- Deliver toolbox talks and monitor site safety.
- Monitor workmanship and installation quality.
- Report progress, risks, delays, and issues to the Project Manager.
- Support snagging, quality checks and project completion.
- Act as the main on-site contact for subcontractors and suppliers.
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in site supervision.
- Proven experience with ground-mounted Solar PV installations.
- Experience working on large-scale solar or renewable energy projects.
- Strong management skills in subcontractor oversight.
- Good understanding of HSQE and UK construction regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Valid SMSTS certification.
- Valid First Aid certification.
