Overview
The Test Manager will oversee comprehensive testing activities within complex infrastructure and transformation programmes, primarily supporting the Defence, Aerospace, and Security sector. Operating in a remote capacity with occasional site visits, this contract role requires active SC clearance, focusing on test strategy development, governance, and execution while collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Test Management across infrastructure and managed services projects.
- Define and manage Test Strategies, Test Plans, and execution schedules.
- Drive defect, risk, issue, and dependency management throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Facilitate test planning and stakeholder workshops.
- Manage test resources and coordinate testing activities across multiple workstreams.
- Provide regular status reporting and go/no-go recommendations.
- Ensure service readiness criteria and testing quality gates are achieved.
- Capture lessons learned and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 8+ years' experience in Test Management and Defect Management.
- Strong background in infrastructure, outsourcing, managed services, or transformation environments.
- ISTQB Foundation certification.
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119 and/or TMMi.
- Understanding of ITIL Service Validation & Testing principles.
- Experience with formal Test Management tools and methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Active SC Clearance required.
