Overview
This contract role as a Backend TypeScript/Node.js Developer focuses on building a new single-tenant, cloud-agnostic platform from the ground up. The contractor will work closely with the platform team, taking full ownership of APIs and services throughout their lifecycle, contributing to design, testing, and operational aspects of the platform.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend APIs using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Own services from initial development through to production deployment.
- Implement health checks, smoke tests, and diagnostics for services.
- Collaborate with QA to enhance test automation processes.
- Create practical runbooks for operational guidance.
- Work with the wider platform team to improve reliability and performance.

- Proficient in creating and managing APIs.
- Experience in writing effective runbooks.
