Overview
The AdTech Privacy Technical Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring consent compliance for a range of consumer mobile applications while also extending oversight to connected devices and IoT products. This hands-on position involves direct collaboration with engineering squads and delivery teams to establish self-testing processes, audit network traffic, and assess the efficacy of marketing technologies in accordance with user consent preferences. The analyst will also be responsible for documenting findings and providing independent verification and accountability for privacy compliance in digital marketing efforts.
Responsibilities
- Test and confirm that marketing technologies respect user consent preferences in mobile apps.
- Intercept and analyze network traffic utilizing Proxyman, Charles Proxy, and Fiddler.
- Audit HTTP Archive (HAR) logs for tracking calls and third-party endpoints.
- Define and document a repeatable self-testing framework for app teams.
- Review and analyze HAR logs to identify gaps or inconsistencies in compliance.
- Conduct second line verification of app team results to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement technical fixes based on findings.
- Document and present audit findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a technical analyst, QA, or in audit roles within AdTech/MarTech environments.
- Hands-on expertise in network interception and analysis using Proxyman, Charles Proxy, and Fiddler.
- Proficiency in capturing and auditing HAR files and tracking payloads.
- Experience in mobile app testing on iOS and Android platforms, including use of Logcat and Xcode Console.
- Knowledge of GDPR, PECR, ePrivacy, and related digital marketing regulations.
- Strong communication skills for documentation and stakeholder interactions.
- Experience with ObservePoint or similar platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with SDK analysis tools like MobSF and APK Analyzer is desirable.
