Overview
The AI Governance Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing effective governance frameworks around AI and data within a large, regulated organisation. This hands-on role involves collaboration with various teams including Data, AI, Technology, Risk, and Privacy, ensuring that AI and data are utilized responsibly and effectively. You will engage with senior stakeholders and international teams to align governance standards and support Ethical AI decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop AI and Data Governance frameworks, policies, and controls.
- Manage the AI inventory, risk assessments, and classification of AI use cases.
- Assess AI risks including bias, fairness, explainability, privacy, and resilience.
- Run AI Governance Forums and support Ethical AI decision-making.
- Manage risks, controls, issues, and remediation activities.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and international teams to align local and global governance standards.
Requirements
- Strong background in Data Governance / Data Management with a focus on AI Governance.
- Demonstrable experience in developing and embedding governance frameworks.
- Good understanding of risk, controls, policy, and assurance.
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or highly regulated environments.
