Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Node.js and TypeScript for a 12-month contract role. The successful contractor will collaborate with a dynamic FinTech team to design and build scalable software solutions that serve a large user base in the financial sector, working closely with clients and senior stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable and scalable software solutions using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Operate and maintain existing software products while introducing new functionalities.
- Collaborate with clients and senior stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development.
- Lead technical delivery in a build-and-run engineering environment.
- Participate in a structured on-call process and manage incidents effectively.
- Work with document databases, specifically MongoDB, within a regulated industry context.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Node.js, particularly with TypeScript.
- Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and serverless architectures.
- Proficiency with document databases, preferably MongoDB.
- Experience in mentoring engineers and leading teams.
- Familiarity with structured on-call processes and incident management.
- Background in regulated industries, specifically in financial services or FinTech.
