Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Artificial Intelligence to lead a greenfield AI initiative within a rapidly growing Energy Trading house. This pivotal role will involve defining the AI strategy, shaping the team, and remaining hands-on with the execution of AI projects that deliver significant value across various business operations. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to turn AI concepts into practical solutions and oversee the development of a dedicated AI team.
Responsibilities
- Define the strategic direction for AI initiatives across the enterprise.
- Lead and mentor the existing team of AI engineers.
- Collaborate with business units to identify and prioritize AI use cases.
- Develop prototypes and proofs of concept for AI applications.
- Integrate AI with enterprise data systems and workflows.
- Ensure compliance with internal AI policies and regulatory requirements.
- Drive the implementation of AI solutions from ideation to production.
- Communicate complex AI concepts to senior stakeholders effectively.
Requirements
- Significant experience in AI engineering within an enterprise environment.
- Strong hands-on technical skills in AI, ML, and LLM technologies.
- Proven track record of delivering AI projects from POC to production.
- Experience with autonomous AI agents and their application in business contexts.
- Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and security in AI deployments.
- Previous experience in the Energy Trading or Commodities sector is highly preferred.
- Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in shaping and building engineering teams in AI.
