Overview
The Head of Artificial Intelligence will lead the AI initiatives for a rapidly growing Energy Trading company embarking on a significant enterprise-wide AI journey. In this pivotal greenfield role, the successful candidate will define the strategic direction of AI, shape and expand the engineering team, and actively contribute hands-on to projects that aim to automate and enhance various business processes. Responsibilities
- Define the strategic direction for AI initiatives across the enterprise.
- Lead and mentor a team of AI engineers, fostering their growth and development.
- Execute hands-on AI projects, developing working prototypes and production-grade solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI use cases that deliver business value.
- Deliver proof of concepts and demonstrations to showcase AI capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and AI policies in a regulated trading environment.
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise data and business systems to streamline operations.
- Monitor industry trends in AI and Energy Trading to continuously refine and innovate AI strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a senior AI engineer in an enterprise setting.
- Strong hands-on engineering skills with a focus on AI project delivery.
- Experience taking AI concepts through proof of concepts (POCs) to production.
- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), generative AI, and autonomous AI agents.
- Expertise in integrating AI with enterprise data and business workflows.
- Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to senior business leaders.
- Experience shaping and building AI engineering teams.
- Deep understanding of compliance, data security, and governance in AI deployments.
