Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer with expertise in Golang and Java to join an award-winning organization specializing in data science for financial institutions. In this hybrid role, the contractor will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality code, contribute to innovative solutions in payments data, and support the organization's mission to combat financial crime through technology. The position is primarily focused on building scalable, high-throughput systems that leverage modern service design approaches and data processing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality Golang and Java code in a production environment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps professionals.
- Implement and maintain solutions that manage large volumes of data using Kafka and Kubernetes.
- Contribute to the design and evolution of service-oriented architectures and APIs.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
- Engage in a DevOps workflow, including continuous integration and deployment practices.
- Optimize solution performance and implement machine learning technologies as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in developing applications using Golang and Java.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and working with databases in a production context.
- Experience with streaming data platforms like Kafka, and container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with NoSQL stores and in-memory data processing solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in DevOps practices and a strong understanding of automated testing and CI/CD workflows.
- Ability to engage with contemporary service design approaches and development processes.
