Overview
We are seeking .NET Developers to join a leading e-commerce site on an initial 6-month project, focusing on the migration of services to a cloud-native platform. The role involves collaboration with existing engineering teams and requires attendance at the City office three times a week under a hybrid working model. This position offers an opportunity to engage in a transformation process, leveraging skills in .NET and AWS technologies.
Responsibilities
- Manage the migration of services to a cloud-native platform using AWS technologies.
- Support the migration of data stores from on-premises to AWS-hosted solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand existing services and business logic.
- Execute lift-and-shift migrations and upgrade services to .NET 10.
- Rebuild and refactor legacy services running on .NET 6 as needed.
- Ensure best practices for software engineering and maintainability are followed.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions, preferably using Terraform.
- Utilize CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions for streamlined development processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software engineering with a strong background in C# and .NET.
- Ability to read, write, and review production-quality code.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including testing and clean code principles.
- Extensive experience with AWS services, particularly ECS, Lambda, CloudFront, and S3.
- Knowledge of security-related AWS services and best practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform.
- CI/CD experience with tools like GitHub Actions or similar.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools is a plus.
