Overview
The Mobile App Tech Lead will be responsible for defining and overseeing the technical direction of a React Native application for both iOS and Android platforms, with future expansion possibilities into WeChat. This hands-on leadership role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing external partners to ensure high-quality and secure mobile solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own mobile architecture, integration, and engineering governance end to end.
- Set technical direction ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable.
- Review external vendor delivery, focusing on solution quality, technical risk, and output.
- Work closely with internal backend and platform teams to define API contracts and resolve dependencies.
- Lead technical discovery and feasibility work with Product Owners, BAs, and designers.
- Mentor engineers and conduct code reviews.
- Define the mobile testing strategy and approach for test automation.
- Represent the mobile product in technical governance and planning forums.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading the architecture and delivery of React Native apps for iOS and Android.
- Strong technical leadership with the ability to set architecture and define engineering standards.
- Experience in managing delivery across internal teams and external partners, including risk management and release planning.
- Confident in stakeholder management, translating business requirements into scalable solutions.
