Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contract Full Stack Software Engineer to join a UK-based organization undergoing a significant technology transformation. This fully remote role is essential for modernizing and rebuilding critical applications, requiring collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance backend services using Go (Golang).
- Build and maintain modern front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
- Design, build and consume REST APIs and GraphQL services.
- Work with PostgreSQL databases and modern backend architectures.
- Deploy and maintain applications within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.
- Support infrastructure and deployment pipelines using Terraform and Google Cloud Build.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues, improving reliability and performance of existing applications.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and the ongoing evolution of the platform.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang).
- Excellent React and TypeScript development skills.
- Experience building scalable backend services and APIs.
- Commercial experience with GraphQL and REST APIs.
- Strong SQL database experience, preferably with PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.
- Exposure to Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
