Overview
We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer to join a cross-functional product team focused on delivering modern digital platforms in the insurance sector. The engineer will collaborate with backend engineers, UX designers, and business stakeholders to create scalable and high-performance user interfaces that enhance customer interactions and support key insurance services. This contract role offers the flexibility of remote work and is aimed at an experienced developer with a strong background in frontend technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable React-based applications supporting key insurance operations.
- Build reusable UI components and shared frontend libraries aligned to design system standards.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver seamless digital customer experiences.
- Integrate frontend applications with policy, claims, and customer data services via APIs.
- Ensure code quality through testing, peer reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Optimise applications for performance, accessibility, scalability, and security.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and continuous improvement initiatives across the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience building enterprise-grade frontend applications using React.
- Advanced JavaScript and TypeScript development skills.
- Solid understanding of responsive design, modern UI development, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience developing reusable component libraries and scalable frontend architectures.
- Proven experience integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and third-party platforms.
- Familiarity with state management solutions such as Redux or Zustand.
- Strong understanding of application performance, accessibility, security, and user experience.
- Experience working within regulated environments such as Insurance, Financial Services, Banking, or FinTech.
