Overview
In this role, you will be pivotal in revolutionizing the front-end interface of a manufacturing system undergoing a major rebuild. You will collaborate closely with operators to design and validate the user experience, ensuring that the application supports critical operations without interruptions. You will lead the front-end architecture, set standards, and elevate the skills of the existing engineering team while working primarily remotely with occasional on-site visits in Scotland.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and architecture of the front-end application using React 19 and Vite.
- Validate and refine designs through direct interaction with end users on the factory floor.
- Establish coding standards and testing policies for the front-end team.
- Guide and mentor existing engineers to enhance their front-end development skills.
- Oversee the extension of the application across various parts of the workflow.
- Ensure seamless integration of modern solutions while transitioning from the legacy system.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading front-end projects using React and TypeScript.
- Understanding of UX principles tailored for non-expert users in manufacturing or similar sectors.
- Ability to coach and mentor engineering teams in front-end development practices.
- Experience in delivering high-quality software under time constraints.
