Overview
The Data Analytics Engineer will be engaged in a 4-month contract focused on migrating and rebuilding business-critical reporting systems using modern data technologies. This role requires hands-on involvement in understanding and replicating existing data models and ensuring the accuracy of business logic while supporting the Data Engineering team. Collaborative and independent work will be key as the contractor interfaces with various stakeholders and navigates the complexities of the project.
Responsibilities
- Rebuild reporting in dbt and ensure the model produces outputs consistent with current Gainsight implementations.
- Understand existing scoring methodologies and translate them into the new data stack.
- Develop engagement and outcome reporting within ThoughtSpot.
- Migrate additional legacy reports and validate outputs with stakeholders.
- Identify and address data ingestion gaps in collaboration with the Data Engineering team.
- Create well-documented and production-ready data models for internal use.
- Manage stakeholder communications effectively throughout the project.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with dbt, including modeling, testing, and documentation.
- Proficient in SQL with relevant data analysis experience.
- Experience working with Amazon Redshift.
- Ability to reverse-engineer and replicate existing data/business logic.
- Familiarity with ThoughtSpot for report and dashboard creation.
- Experience with HubSpot integrations and customer data management.
- Knowledge of customer health scoring and SaaS analytics.
- Strong ability to provide clear documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
