Overview
We are seeking experienced Java Engineers for a fully remote contract role with a focus on building and enhancing scalable, cloud-based applications in the iGaming sector. The contractor will join a product-oriented engineering team, collaborating with fellow engineers to deliver high-quality software using modern Java technologies in an agile setting.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java applications and microservices.
- Build scalable, resilient, and high-performing backend systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile delivery environment.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Contribute to technical discussions and architecture improvements.
- Implement continuous improvement practices in software development.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Java.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience working within agile teams.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Desirable knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and databases.
